The Arab Contractors Club confirmed its full confidence in its players, after the team lost to Zamalek (1-0), yesterday, Tuesday, in the Premier League, rejecting any accusations that they missed.

The contractors issued an official statement to clarify the statements of Mohamed Odeh, the technical director of Wolves of the Mountain, in which he revealed the signing of a penalty on the team's striker, Ahmed Ali, after he missed a penalty kick in front of Zamalek.

The text of the contractors’ statement read as follows: “The Arab Contractors Club affirms its full confidence in the technical staff and players during the current period, rejecting some interpretations of the statements of Mohamed Odeh, the coach, which were clear regarding the technical staff’s policy and regulations with the players in all cases, including penalty kicks.”

The Arab Contractors Club stresses that Ahmed Ali is one of the diligent and loyal elements of its club, and the club does not accept any hints about missing the penalty kick, stressing that punishing the coach of his player is an internal affair that does not carry any other interpretations.

For his part, Mohamed Adel Fathi, the general supervisor of the ball and a member of the club's board of directors, confirmed that Mohamed Odeh's statements are clear and that he praised the level that Ahmed Ali showed during the meeting.

He added that the penalty imposed on him by replacing him was to implement a prior decision taken by the coach regarding penalty kicks.

In a press statement, Fathi indicated that his club is awaiting a response from the Football Association and the Referees Committee on the arbitration mistakes witnessed in the Zamalek match, which all observers and analysts agreed upon.
