How to make WhatsApp messages delete automatically

WhatsApp last year included an option that allows your messages to be deleted automatically. Now, the most used instant messaging app in the world has expanded this tool so that, instead of having to delete chats one by one, it is possible to delete all messages from all chats at once.

The company has explained that, with this new function, the app will allow the user to establish a period after which all messages will be deleted automatically. This period can be 24 hours, a week or 90 days. This new WhatsApp tool is now available to all its users, both on Android and iOS.

Here we explain step by step how to configure this WhatsApp function according to your interests and needs. You should keep in mind that this works only for individual chats. In the case of WhatsApp groups, only the administrator has the power to choose how long a message remains. Therefore, it is not possible to delete the messages that you have sent in those conversations.

-Adjustments: Open the WhatsApp app and click on the icon with the three dots, located in the upper right corner of the screen. When you do this, you will see that a window is displayed with several options, and you must click on the last one, the one that says “Settings”.

-Privacy: Inside the "Settings" folder you must first enter where it says "Account". Once inside, click on the tab that regulates the "Privacy" options.

-Choose the period of time: Then, WhatsApp will allow you to choose the time that can elapse before the messages are permanently deleted. As we have already explained, the messaging app allows that period to be one day, one week or ninety days.
