Instagram will soon allow posting from computer

Starting this week, the social network Instagram will allow both photos and videos to be posted from desktop browsers. This will allow independence from mobile apps and make it easier for content creators to work directly from their computers.

It is one of the most requested options for years by Instagram users, thus becoming independent of iOS and Android apps, allowing content to be updated from any desktop web browser installed on any laptop or desktop computer.

In the case of photos, it does not seem that there will be any restrictions when they are posted, although the same does not happen in the case of videos posted from web browsers, where clips can last no more than a minute.

By allowing content to be published directly from the web browser, the work is greatly facilitated especially for professionals and companies who can avoid the intermediate step of transferring content to mobile devices from computers where they create images or videos for advertising campaigns or communications.

It is also a measure that facilitates greater comfort in using the platform for "on foot" users, who if they are working on their computers no longer need to change devices to post content.

The integration of this long-awaited functionality joins others that the social network has already allowed for several months, such as the ability to send and receive messages directly from web browsers. Months ago, a mobile app analyst and developer echoed the discovery of this functionality, which began operating in a beta period in June among a small group of users.
